The Sportheque Classic, held April 28 – May 1, attracted about 50 players, with some from Quebec City and Montreal, and with several women playing in both men’s and women’s events. In the Men’s Open, Maxime Blouin from Quebec City beat Sebastien Boucley of Montreal for the title. Tournament organiser Maxime Leclair beat Pranav Sharma of Montreal for 3rd place in another very entertaining match. In the Men’s “A”, Eric Leblanc capped off a strong tournament with a victory over Nicolas Dupont, who upset first seed Rudy Rodriguez in the semi-finals. On the Women’s side the Wren family dominated, with Chloe and mother, Helene, taking the “A” and “D” titles, respectively. Congratulations to all the winners and participants.
