As military personnel get posted into the Ottawa
area some may find a DND squash community a welcome club
to be associated with. The purpose of the squash club
is to provide a club for the members of the NDHQ/NCR community
(both military and friends of the military) where the
game of squash can be pursued and enjoyed in a positive
atmosphere of friendly competition. It also exists to
promote the sport to persons who wish to learn it and
to provide occasional venues for serious competitive play.
Costs for Squash court usage for DND players have been picked
up by the NCR PSP sports office. Currently (at time of publishing),
DND has 2 courts booked for their use at the RA centre (613-523-6250)
three evenings a week, (Monday, Friday and Sunday) starting at 1900 hrs.
The NDHQ club looks after participation in city of Ottawa city leagues
and it provides info on military play-downs.
Cost
No cost at this time for general play.
About $20 - 25 / player for city league play
