Diana (Edge) Dowling

Biography

Born in Montreal in 1965. Educuated at Fisher Park High School, Harvard University and Harvard Business School. She

was a member of the Rideau Tennis & Squash Club, where she was coached by Penny Glover, then later by Rene Denis. Now resides in Riverside, CT, with husband Joseph, and children Isabelle, Brian, Miles, and Joseph.

Accomplishments

  • Ontario Softball Squash – GU 16 (1980 and 1981), GU 19 (1982-83-84) champion
  • Canadian Softball Squash – GU 16 (1980 and 1981), GU 19 (1982-83-84) champion
  • Member of Canadian team to World Women’s Team

  • US Softball Squash – Women’s 45+ (2011) champion (ALSO the 35+ in 2003)
  • US Mixed Doubles – Co-Winner (2015) with husband Joe
  • US Intercollegiate Hardball – All American 1984 to 1988,winner of US Intercollegiate title (1988), and lead Harvard Women’s team to National Intercollegiate Championship titles in 1985,1987, and 1988
  • Won the Betty Richey Award in 1988 for “excellence in squash, sportsmanship and contribution to the game” at the Team National Champions tournament for the Howe Cup.
  • Member of Board of Directors of US Squash 2009-2014
