Biography

Born in Ottawa, educated at Lisgar Intercollegiate, Ottawa, and Franklin & Marshall College in the US. She was a member of the RA Centre, where she was coached by René Denis.img_7727

Accomplishments

  • Ontario Softball – GU 12 (1983) and GU 14 (1985) champion
  • Canadian Hardball – GU 14 (1986), GU 16 (1987), and Women’s (1988) champion
  • US Hardball – GU 13 (1984), GU 17 (1987), GU 19 (1989) champion and Women’s finalist (1993)
  • Canadian Softball GU 12 (1983), GU 14 (1985), GU 16 (1987), and Women’s (2002) champion
  • US Intercollegiate Individual finalist three times (1993-95), and winner Betty Richey Award (equivalent of football’s Heisman’s Trophy) in 1994 and 1995. First woman in collegiate history to record 100 career wins , playing at the No. 1 position
  • Winner of the Pan-Am Championships Women’s Gold Medal in 2000
  • Member of Canadian teams – World Juniors (1987 and 1989), World Women (2002), Pan-Am Championships (2000), and Commonwealth Games (2002)
  • Winner of Savcor Women’s Finnish Squash Open in 2002
  • Now resides in Barrie, Ontario, with husband Peter, and children Charlotte and Jack
