Biography

Born in Ottawa, Educated at Gloucester Secondary High School, Ottawa, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and at McGill University (MBA). After being coached at Goodlife – Queensview, by Heather Wallace, and at Club Sportif MAA, by Yvon Provencal, she turned professional in 2001 and played on the Women’s International Professional Squash Association (WISPA) circuit from 2001 to 2009. She was in Bermuda from 2012 to 2016, as Assistant Director of the Bermuda SRA. She now lives in Montreal, working as Director of Squash at the Midtown Sanctuaire.

Achievements

  • Won Ontario Girls Under 12 (1991), Under 14 (1994) and Under 19 (1997) titles.
  • Reached last 8 at World Junior Women’s Championship in Antwerp (1999) and also at World Games in Duisberg (2005).
  • Member of Canadian teams at World Junior Team Championships in Rio de Janeiro (1997), and Antwerp (1999), and at
  • World Women’s Team Championships in Amsterdam (2004), Edmonton (2006) and Cairo (2008).
  • Member of University of Pennsylvania team which won US National Intercollegiate title in 1999 – 2000. She was Ivy League Rookie, team captain for 2 years, an All-American for 4 years, and won the Betty Richey Award in 2003 for ” exemplified devotion, fairness and leadership in the game”. Also won the Father’s Trophy (2003), as athlete who contributed the most to women’s athletics at UPenn.
  • Won Canadian Women’s Open Singles in 2009.
  • Won Quebec Women’s Open Singles in 2007, 2009, and 2017.
  • Member of Canadian team at PanAmerican Games in Rio de Janeiro (2007), which won the Women’s Team Gold medal. She won a Bronze in the Women’s Singles.
  • Member of Canadian team at Commonwealth Games in Melbourne (2006).
  • Won Bermudian Women’s Open in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
  • Member of Quebec Women’s  team, which won the Canadian Women’s Team title in 2017.
  • Her highest World Ranking was 29 reached in 2007, and she won two WISPA titles in 2005 – in Calgary and Quito.
