The next tournament at the RA will be the Summer Open at the end of July.
The ODSA Masters Rep Team defended their B Div title at The Squash Ontario Masters Regional Team Championships last weekend.
The temperatures outside were cold but the squash inside was hot. Nicolas Grenapin, Alan Smith and their crew of volunteers put on a well-run open tourney. The player field was 48 strong with out of towners coming from as far away as Thunder Bay, Kingston and Montreal. There was plenty of good squash across 4 open divisions with the following division winners and runners-up.
On February 8-9, the Ottawa Athletic Club hosted 40 young players from across Ontario, for the Mortgage Company of Canada Silver #6 tournament, presented by Harrow. The annual Smiths Falls squash tournament took place January 10 to 12, 2020, and attracted 30 women, men, and juniors. There was also a most entertaining exhibition match between Asser Ibrahim, an Egyptian newly arrived at Carleton University and currently ranked 4th in Ottawa, and Fernando Hernandez of Club Sportif MAA in Montreal and ranked 10 in Quebec. The 8th Bob Searle Masters Open took place at the RA Centre between November 22 and 24, with 20 competitors spread over the 50+, 60+, and 65+ Divisions.
