Canadian Masters Team Championships Results
The Squash Canada inter-provincial masters team championships were recently (13-15 Jan 2012) hosted by our ODSA Gatineau based club, Le Sporthèque.
A total of 8 teams were entered, representing all provinces (east to west) from QC to BC, as well as a combined team from our Atlantic provinces.
Plenty of great squash was had at the master's level and competition was intense as teams battled for position and bragging rights. At the end of
the weekend the Quebec #1 team (which included a few of our own local players) triumphed and became the championship team for 2012.
From a tourney perspective Le Sporthèque did a great job running the tourney and hosting squashers from many parts of the country.

ODSA Ontario Winter Games Junior Team

RA Squash Open 26 - 29 Jan 2012
The RA Squash Club invites you to participate in its 2012 Squash Open.
This year's event, scheduled for January 26 to 29, 2012, is expected to
be a great weekend thanks to our sponsors Karakal, Labatts and the RA
Centre. For those who live out of town, your matches will start on
Friday January 27th, pls advise on this requirement. Everyone is
welcome to register in person at the RA centre, 2451 Riverside Drive or
on line at *www.racentre.com (Click on PlayRA, once there look under
Sports and Recreation for the Squash link). Please note, the deadline

Mortadella Cup successfully contested at RA
Tourney chairman Warren Creates (of the RA) once again orchestrated the
running of the one day (afternoon actually) Mortadella Cup closed squash
tourney. Contestants were all provided an equalizing handicap and the
action was fast and merciless. After three rounds of tight play Mikola
Czich (NDHQ) came out on top after going to extra points in the final
and deciding game vs the defending champion Lars Roberts (Casc).

Smith's Falls B,C,D Tournament, Jan.13-15,2012
The Smiths Falls Squash Club would once again like to invite you to take
the short drive to Smiths Falls to burn off some Christmas / New-Years
calories and to take part in their open tourney. This year the tourney
is limited to level B players and below.

ODSA Squashers Well Represented at Kingston Garrison Open
ODSA squashers represented the region well at the Kingston Garrison Open.
We had 9 squashers taking part and 2 made it to the finals in their
divisions. Derek Ring won in 3 straight to become the champion in the A
division and Matt Libront battled to a long and tough 2-3 loss in the B
division final. Congrats to both. The rest of the gang enjoyed plenty of
good competitive squash and represented the ODSA area well.

ODSA Fund Raiser for Junior Squash
Every year the ODSA Junior Squash committee organizes its main fund raising event which happens this time of year.
We sell X-Mas wreaths and Centrepieces made fresh from Nova Scotia balsam fir. Wreaths cost $41 and Centerpieces cost $50.
The funds raised help us organize and support several events for our local Junior players along with supporting them in tournaments.

2011 Rust Remover Results
The 2011 Rust Remover held at the renovated OAC turned out to be a great
event. With 52 players registered there was plenty of good squash action
to get the 2011.12 ODSA season under way. Check out the links below to

Squash Clinic and Exhibition at the OAC
Kickoff the Goodlife Open week by taking advantage of a Squash Clinic and Exhibition with PSA players:
Joel Hinds (world ranked 73), Chris Truswell (world ranked 123) and Adrian Dudzicki (world Ranked 146).
The event is being held on Tues 11 Oct 2011 (right before the start of the PSA event).
Squash Clinic with the players 6.30-7.30 PM. Exhibition Match 7.30-9.00 PM. Don't miss this chance to get on court with three rising stars in the game.
Cost for the Clinic and Exhibition is $35. Cost for Exhibition only is $15.
