Objective:

To provide a number of tournaments during the squash season in Ottawa area for junior squash players looking to gain experience to enable them to compete in Squash Ontario silver tournaments. The Grand Prix will consist of 6 tournaments in the squash season to give such players competitive continuity & tournaments to look forward to.

In each tournament players will earn points based upon how they advance in the draw. At the end of the season upon completion of the last Grand Prix event, each player's points will be totalled to determine the overall Grand Prix Champion of Ottawa! The Champion will also receive a great prize package to be donated by Heather Wallace (Goodlife Club).

A player's best points from 4 of 6 tournaments will be totalled. This allows for a player to miss at least 2 tournaments without penalizing their chance of winning the overall title or of discarding their 2 worst scores.

A player can play in as many or as few tournaments as they wish.

Point System for the Grand Prix Rankings:

A player shall accumulate points in each tournament as follows:
 

If positions are not played for, eg 11-16th place, then points are divided equally amongst players finishing in 11-16th bracket. Players would receive 300 points each.
