Women

The Ottawa Women’s Squash league is a friendly, competitive squash league for women of all playing levels. The league plays Thursday nights and is composed of players from various clubs within the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Registrations are accepted at any time during the season. The league actively encourages members to embrace the sport of squash and provides a social, yet competitive, atmosphere for all participants.

When?
Every Thursday between 6h30 and 9h30 – from September to May (2 seasons). You can check the latest schedule on https://ottawawomenssquash.wordpress.com/

Where?
As of 2017, the RA Club has officially become the host club for the ODSA Women’s city league. Your contribution to the league directly benefits the RA Squash Club to recognize their support for this league.

Who’s playing in the league?
Last year, the WCL league was composed of 40 women from 11 different clubs from the Ottawa District region! This is an OPEN  league to all club members of the region. It is inclusive and diverse.

Fun fact: 23% of 2016-2017 Women’s city league are students

How do I join?
Contact any of the Women’s Squash committee members (see below) and let them know you are interested or drop by on Thursdays at the RA to see what it’s like.

How much does it cost?

2017-18 Seasons RA Member Students Other ODSA players
Fall 2017 $30 $30 $45
Winter 2018 $30 $30 $45

You must be a member of an Ottawa District squash club to participate in this league!

Note: This year, we are self-funding our contribution to the ODSA ($15.00/player/year) and hope to discuss different ways to support Squash in the Ottawa Region. How can the ODSA support and grow Women in Squash better!? By joining this league, you are effectively supporting Women in Squash in the Outaouais Region!

What else do we do?

This is a very social group, so we gather post-squash at the RA Fieldhouse for a chat, a laugh, a bite and a drink. We also organize some fun squash road trips to various tournaments across the province (Women’s Masters Teams Tournament every September) but also the States (Howe Cup – every November), etc… some of our players enjoy golf, play tennis in the summer or join squash summer league.
