Important Notes

  • If you haven’t claimed your Rankenstein account, please do so as you need one to submit league results. Doing this is as easy as going to your profile page and clicking “Claim this Account”. If the button isn’t there, it means someone (likely you) has already claimed it. If that is the case, you can initialize a password reset here (Email address required).
  • Currently we have 37 teams which is less than ideal. Unfortunately that means that 1 team has to sit out each session until 1 or more teams are added, or a team is dropped from the league. RA9 will be team odd-team out in session 1. Going forward, the team finishing last place in Division 6 will sit out the following session with the sitting team coming back in.
  • All teams previously called GOOD are now called WSQ (Wallace Squash). These teams will still play out of Goodlife Queensview.
  • University of Ottawa (UOTT1, Div 5) will be playing their home games at Carleton University.
  • Along with a Carleton team (CARL1) and uOttawa team (UOTT1), there is also a hybrid team of university students entering the league. This team is known as CUO1 (CarletonUOttawa) and will be starting in Division 2. This team will also be playing their home games at Carleton University. Thank you to both Luz Osorio and Patrick Lyons for ensuring that uOttawa players have a place to play City League this season.
  • To try to alleviate possible confusion as to where you are playing, I have added a VENUE column to the schedule table will a Google Map link to the facility. This will clarify exactly where you are suppose to be playing in a particular week.
  • Please refer to my post from last year: Reminder: Open City League Is On Wednesday Nights. Our goal as city league players should be to play as many matches on Wednesday night! As the city league coordinator I have 3 pet peeves: 1) Defaults, 2) Walkovers, 3) Late results. All of these can be prevented by playing matches on Wednesday night. Please make every effort to ensure your team has 4 players every Wednesday evening.
  • Contact information will be updated and made available as soon as I get it. In the interim, if you need to contact a team captain, please get in touch with me and I will get you the contact information you need.

If there are any questions/comments/concerts, please contact me through the Contact Form or at .

Happy Squashing!

  • Steve Oakey, ODSA Open City League Coordinator
